It takes a dad to build a home

Here's a short poem I've written impromptu for all the fathers in the world especially to my father who is now in his early 60s. Happy Father's Day!

It takes a dad to build a home
Yes, he is, from pillar to post
The core for what he can command
To keep us all from getting lost.

A father's love is genuine
And growing strong as it can be
Yet through what is the Road of Life
He knows the best--and sets us free.

Our dads will soon catch up with age
Or one day may just pass away
But deep within our very hearts
They so lived and will always stay.
