If you could only see my heart

"There is an eternal landscape, a geography of the soul; we search for its outlines all our lives."
   --Josephine Hart

If you could only see my heart
From out of true love's metaphors;
There dwells a landscape carved by God
All facing you but open doors.

Towards a garden deep inside
Where flowers bloom eternally;
Adoring what it only loves
And loves the most as it can be.

But I am just a fading hymn
That winds must carry forth at night;
Unless you learn to sing the song
You'll see more of what's out of sight.
