Springtime as seen from the Philippines

The Philippines has no spring season. But I like the springtime though because it symbolizes freshness, beauty, and hope. It is the time of year when everything's fresh and green, snows are melting, and the flowers bloom; it is a renewal. I wrote this poem as both the symbolic and the literal sense of it a soul could find a healing to make us all whole again.

The winter’s bleach was fading
Away of what--the snow;
Up all the Spring for showing
The touch of all things new

And far away from that land
A soul was seeing free;
The wonder works of Nature
How beautiful to me!

‘Tis time for me to part now
And face the Orient be;
A Postcard  I was holding
How beautiful to me!
